Toast Unicorn

ASCII art, kaomoji & text art tools

About Toast Unicorn

A small set of free tools for playing with text: big ASCII banners, pictures made of characters, kaomoji, framed notes and emoji letters.

How it works

Every tool runs inside your browser. The text you type and the pictures you drop in are turned into art by code on the page and never uploaded; there are no accounts, no ads and no cookies. Once a page has loaded, its tool keeps working even if your connection drops.

The site counts visits with Cloudflare Web Analytics, which counts page views without cookies or cross-site tracking and never receives what you type, paste or drop into the tools. The privacy page has the details.

The kaomoji collection, the emoji letter shapes, the box styles and all the writing were put together for this site. Toast Unicorn is independent: it is not connected to the FIGlet or TOIlet projects or to any of the authors credited below.

Credits and licences

The text to ASCII tool draws with figlet.js by Patrick Gillespie and contributors (MIT licence) and offers only fonts whose licences allow them to be shared. Each font file keeps its original header with the author's notes.
